The BackGround
It all started back in college… Me, a soccer player with a Faux Hawk, and a James Peterson (no, not the twilight guy) book, Cooking, that I bought at the schools bookstore.
Now, I had already started watching my fair share of food network. Laguna Beach and the Jersey Shore wasn’t my cup of tea. No, I was a fan of Tyler Florence’s “Tyler’s Ultimate” or “Take Home Chef” with Curtis Stone. For me, cooking was simple, flavors came second nature, it was comforting, and it was something my friends couldn’t do, I loved it.
Opening up that book instantly felt like super powers came over me, I was able to understand there was so much more to food. Hell, I didn’t know the difference between Regular and Decaf coffee until Alton Brown blessed us with his genius.
Late at night, I’d read that book while watching TV, staring the different styles and Techniques. I wanted to learn, and as a veteran pie eating champ, I felt food was an expression of myself.
No, I am not a Chef. This is a passion that I truly want others to share. The Joy you see after someones first bite, it’s hard to live up too, but damn does it hit different.
Now lets get cracking…. (**2x tong Tap**)
